The other day a surprice box was drop'd off at my doorstep... i thought it would come here first thing 09 but nope... R2-C4's 3rd last piece is here... SKIRT!! And of couse Salacious tought it was something for him...


luckyly i got a hold of it again before he ... yea u know... he bites and drool over alu too !!

Dosent look like much when its on... but holy S... WE are almost there... 2 pieces more !! and the outer is done done done!!

Traveling

Today i had made up my mind to bring R2-C4 home to my own flat, its starting to get so cold that its not fun to work outside with an astromech anymore...
God all these parts is almost taking up all the room in my car lol


But didt take me more then 10 min to attach the 2 outer legs for the first time :) more then happy... almost a real astromech now !!! WOW

A great builder day :)

Got up early today... and started building and painting.
All alu legs are now at 90% done
Front outer skin 90% done and all panels are moving (by hand for now)
Alu dome outer work done just need to instal the lights again and make the panels move :)
Finely got the missing parts for my ankles... they were painted in R2-D2 colors... have no fear friends.. they are now painted in sweet red imperial R2-C4 color lol

2 month's later

Hi Gent's and Gals
sorry for not posting... but i was out internet acces for a month and ive just moved to a new place, so today was the first day in 2 month i touch'd R2-C4.
i tought to my self that i wanted every pie panel to move ... nice why didt i think of that before glueing the inner and outer dome !! lol
well started the day home at my parrents workshop... but the compresed air system my farther uses was to small, so i had to drive out to my brothers workplace... and there the air was just the way it should be ... here are the roughly cut outcome... now awaits a day sanding lol

What to do on a nice hot summerday! BUILD!!

Hi there... god... it was so hot today... so hot ... so whats the most naturel thing to do ??... thats right.. to build a bit on a Astromech! lol
Got the last front panel clued on today... and the all work!!

Fever is gone...

Have ben sick the last week... and today i finely got rid of the fever... so whats a boy to do ?.. yup... BUILD BUILD BUILD!! lol
And I had great fun... and got some nice things done...
Had to move one of the frame bearing so the ocatagon port in the front section could be place without scraping on to it... instal'd the port + the front power coupler... looks really more and more droidalike.. well enough words u thinking... lets the pic show begin.

Now lets see if the skin fitts!!!

Of couse it fitts lol (phew) (i made the bearing with 3 screws... that way it can be placed back and forward up and down... so it will always sit 100% where the hole in the skin is.
And now for the front power coupler!
Made a small L alu drill 3 holes in it... thats it..
